Bob Richardson

Bob Richardson, a longtime Colorado handball player and member of the Denver Athletic Club, passed away March 16th, 2014 . Although never a smoker, Bobby was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer just a few months past. He met this challenge head-on as he did many things in his wonderful life, but time was not on his side this go-round.
Bobby was an accomplished skydiver and pilot, with over 3000 jumps to his credit and 1250 hours of flight time recorded. He was a very well-liked, successful andrespected land man in the Denver area for the past thirty five years. He very much enjoyed handball and the many friends he established through the game. His forthright demeanor complimented his daring and adventurous lifestyle to a T, all this with a personality that you couldn’t help but love. He made no judgments and had little empathy for those that did. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
Bobby was born in Denver, Colorado April 9th, 1951. He graduated from Lakewood High School before earning a degree in geography and geology from the University of Colorado in Boulder. He is survived by his parents Kenneth and Gerry Richardson of Loveland Colorado, his brother Scott Richardson of Thornton Colorado, his dear friend and wife of 23 years Robin (Hill) Richardson, also of Denver, and all the numerous and close friends he made in his many endeavors throughout his sparkling journey.
